YOGA-Pre/Postnatal

Pre-Natal Yoga: Mon & Wed:  11:00AM. TO 12:15 PM., This class is designed for pregnant women who want to prepare for labor and delivery, maintain body strength, and find remedy for the most common complaints, such as: backache, constipation, flatulence, headaches, spasms in groin and leg cramps, heart burn, hemorrhoids, nausea, and the host of other common complaints.

 

Post-Natal Yoga: Tues & Thurs  from 11:00a.m. to 12:15p.m.Six to eight weeks after childbirth, mother's can continue through a "beginners" yoga class designed specifically for these women who have attended, maintain the bond, and support one another in their new roles, or meet with those who are at the same place in life. DANCING SHIVA YOGA  Learn how to face the unknown, stay focused and calm during periods of stress and discomfort.  We offer  a gentle class; utilizing props and supported postures appropriate for 2nd and 3rd trimesters.  Emphasis is placed on the mind/breath connection and creating a future support network for new mothers. DANCING SHIVA YOGA Help ward off potential blues and add joy to your first year with baby.   Short classes focus on building  strength &  flexibility necessary for nursing, cradling & carrying a new baby utilizing rhymes, children’s songs & postures w/ baby on or next to you.
